~1 v 1 to change a system, law, organization etc so that it operates in a fairer or more effective way  (plans to reform the tax system) 2 to change your behaviour and become a better person, or to make someone do this  (be a reformed character)  (Harry's a reformed character since he stopped taking drugs. | reformed criminal/sinner/alcoholic etc (=someone who is no longer a criminal etc)) ~2 n a change made to a system or organization, in order to improve it remove unfairness etc  (educational reform) + of  (a radical reform of the legal system)
